The ExplorationsPHP Partial Hospitalization Program is designed to provide a SAFE, SUPPORTIVE, THERAPEUTIC environment for adolescents in need of mental health treatment within a school setting.
The only school-based adolescent partial hospitalization program in Montgomery County, PA, Explorations offers services to stabilize behaviors and emotions and equip the adolescent with the skills needed to succeed at home, in school, and in the community.
Advantages of ExplorationsPHP
- Serves as an alternative to hospitalization or as a transition from more intensive levels of care. Patients may be enrolled directly into Explorations or may be “stepped down” from a hospital setting to facilitate the quickest return to home or a school setting.
- Offers a short-term day treatment program for adolescents, ages 11 to 18, five days a week, five hours a day. The program supports patients with a primary psychiatric diagnosis who require intensive support and structure, but not 24-hour supervision.
- Provides multiple treatment modalities (individual therapy, group therapy, education groups, family therapy, and physician oversight) in a coordinated manner to achieve short-term stabilization of immediate crises.
